Lanka Minerals & Chemicals Pvt Ltd.

Lanka Minerals and Chemicals (PVT) Ltd established in 1998, is the pioneer in processing high quality Calcium Carbonate and Calcium Magnesium Carbonate in Sri Lanka. Our group has expanded up to 5 sites, located at Seethawaka Export Processing Zone, Awissawella and Kalutara Industrial Estate with over 500 employees and 3 well equipped R and D labs. We have strived to grow, maintaining high quality standards of the products utilizing the latest technology in the world.

As a recipient of BOI approval for direct and indirect export, we entered the export market in 2008 by establishing LANMIC Exports (Pvt) Ltd. While responding satisfactorily to the local demand, we export a substantial quantity to Australia, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Seychelles, Middle East, and Thailand.

Fitting the phrase “Sons of the Soil” LANMIC Group, harvest gently from the mother earth without ravage, taking only what is required, leaving behind the rest for natural healing and restoration, just as our forefathers taught us.

Managing Director / Founder

M.U Bopitiya, is the Managing Director/Founder of Sri Lanka’s largest calcium carbonate and calcium magnesium carbonate manufacturing industry.

As a visionary leader qualified in polymer technology, he utilised modern, advanced technology, manufacturing high quality products for the right price, optimizing customer satisfaction.

His informed decisions, and ability to foresee opportunity, makes him the key driving force in LANMIC group.

KISHANI BOPITIYA

DIRECTOR

Kishani Bopitiya counts over 20 years of experience at the LANMIC group.

A Commerce graduate at University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, Kishani’s background in accounts and finance made her a strategic and holistic thinker and an outstanding negotiator. She is natural when it comes to utilizing the resources efficiently with a minimum wastage.

Her excellent coaching style and people management skills, has brought forward loyal employees to LANMIC group.

DILANTHA DE SILVA

FACTORY DIRECTOR – LANMIC GROUP

Dilantha is a passionate Engineer, qualified via the Sri Lankan Air Force, Academy China-Bay, & Aeronautical Engineering.

In 2000 Dilantha joined LANMIC group as the Factory Manager and was appointed as the Factory Director in 2008.

His strong technical background and determination always served LANMIC Group with innovative engineering solutions especially during crucial times. His drive to make what seems impossible, possible, is an inspiration to his young team.
